    STEP Offshore offer a wide range of products for circulation and transfer of drilling mud. This includes state-of-the-art agitators, LP mud pumps, mud guns, shear mixers and  much more.

    Our agitators are designed to achieve the  best possible mud tank agitation. By using advanced CFD  (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and 3D modelling techniques, the impeller accelerates the fluid evenly over the entire blade, optimizing energy transmission and efficiency. The drive unit and the strengthened gear box are made specifically for top mounted agitators and are extensively field proven. In order to attain the best possible agitation, STEP Offshore’s experienced team of engineers are available to help design tanks suitable for mud  agitation on new rigs and platforms. CFD software is available in-house for verification of agitation and solving of difficult fluid dynamics problems.

    STEP Offshore AS performs detailed design of bulk storage and transfer systems and supply all equipment required for receiving, storing and handling of bulk materials (barite, cement, bentonite and ilmenite) onboard any drilling unit. STEP Offshores bulk and surge tank design is a reliable and well proven system providing optimum transfer capacities. Our dust cyclones and collectors ensure that dust generated from pneumatic transport of bulk material is recovered.
