STEP Offshore’s rapid barite mixer enables rapid and dust free mixing of barite. Fed with mud from a mud mixing pump and barite from the bulk storage tanks the mixer arrangement is simple, rugged and virtually maintenance free. Mixing of fluid and barite is performed in the mixing head. Transport air from the pneumatic feeding system is diluted through the perforated drop pipe, preventing large dust bubbles from reaching the mud pit surface.
