STEP Offshore's sack cutting unit is designed to automatically cut and empty all kinds of drilling fluid chemical sacks. The emptied sacks are then compacted and disposed of into a waste bag. Controlled feeding of powder from the unit to the mud hopper(s) by a metering screw conveyor ensures optimum mixing properties. The sack inlet table can be height adjusted to the ergonomically most suitable position for the operator. The unit provides a dust free working environment and is designed to meet all relevant offshore requirements regarding health, safety and environment.
